Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corp. announces new board members - Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS — Three new members have joined the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corp.'s Board of Directors.

Joining the board are Mylo Einarson, president and CEO of Nodak Electric Cooperative; Sally Miskavige, vice president of Opp Construction; and Cory Melland, president of PS Industries, Inc. All three were elected by the EDC member companies to their first three-year term and began their role on Jan 1.

Transitioning out of their board of director roles are Tammy Peterson of Bremer Bank, and Robert “Mac” McLennan of Minnkota Power Cooperative. Both served three terms of three years each.

“A tremendous thank you to Tammy and Mac who have served on the board for nine years, each serving as board chair for two years during their tenure. The Grand Forks region would not be what it is today without their leadership,” Keith Lund, the EDC's president and CEO said in a release sent to the media. “We are fortunate to have committed and strong leaders from diverse industry backgrounds to fill their shoes. Welcome to our three new board members, Mylo, Cory, and Sally, who are passionate about the success of local businesses and the growth of our regional economy.”

They join a board that oversees Grand Forks Region EDC operations, providing economic development strategy for the region, and making project funding recommendations to the city’s Growth Fund and Jobs Development Authority.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
