Southlake-based travel tech company Sabre Corp. has bought a hospitality e-commerce provider, with hopes to improve traveler experiences as demand increases.
Techsembly, a UK-based, automated e-commerce solution allows hotels to manage multiple online property stores, products and logistics on one platform, allowing Sabre to tap into more opportunities for consumers. Terms of the financial deal were not disclosed.
Scott Wilson, president of Sabre Hospitality, said consumers are constantly looking for more options that are relevant to their needs, and the acquisition of Techsembly will allow consumers to take advantage of opportunities beyond just a place to stay.
“We’re starting to get to the point where hoteliers can bring all of those experiences into one shopping and booking experience, and that is a game changer for the hotel industry,” Wilson said.
The announcement comes as the busiest summers post-pandemic is underway, with travelers jetting all over the world in search of experiences that were put on hold.
Sabre will integrate Techsembly’s e-commerce employees into the company. Techsembly has offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, also.
“We built Techsembly based on a deep commitment to service, innovation and delivering proven results to help our customers increase revenue beyond traditional room sales,” said Amy Read, co-founder and CEO of Techsembly in a release. “Joining Sabre will allow us to expand and offer game-changing technology and increase our reach to more customers around the world.”
