The U.S. Air Force has awarded Canadian Commercial Corp. a seven-year, $70 million contract to extend contractor logistics support to electro-optical infrared sensors installed on the military branch’s AC-130 gunship fleet.
The firm-fixed-price contract to CCC will include field-level repair, troubleshooting and operator familiarization training services for the MX-Series sensor system line manufactured by L3 Technologies (NYSE: LHX), the Department of Defense said Thursday.
CCC acts as an international procurement and contracting agency for the Canadian government in efforts to connect domestic suppliers to U.S. defense customers.
The service branch is obligating $10.8 million in fiscal 2021 procurement funds at the time of award to carry out the Wescam Aggregate Services Plan.
Florida-based L3Harris opened a facility in Waterdown, Canada, in November to address a demand for the company’s MX-Series imaging products.
