EMERALD ISLE – TransImpact is launching new software developed to help shippers improve visibility and improve decision-making.

The software is called Parcel Spend Intelligence and it was built in order to analyze the data that feeds into existing logistics systems, present the data analysis into easy-to-understand dashboards, and convert the data into actions.

According to a statement issued by the company, the software features customizable alerts, which can notify a shipper of common issues like incorrect addresses, overmax packaging, or other surcharges assessed by package carriers.

“We’ve been working towards being able to offer shippers a tool this flexible and powerful for a long time,” said Norm Pollock, CTO for the company, which was formerly known as Transportation Impact.  “The carrier invoices are complicated, and our team of experts has spent years understanding all of the fields, how they relate, and which are relevant for analysis. By loading the data into our tool, a client gains flexibility to look at data in multiple ways and then take action based on that factual insight.”

The company released its Parcel Spend Intelligence product ahead of the Parcel Forum trade show, which will take place September 14–16, where the company plans to demonstrate the software.

TransImpact now serves more than 1,000 customers and manages more than $1 billion in logistics spend, it noted in a statement.  The company was named for the ninth time to the Inc. 5000 list earlier this year, ranking 4,130th, with a three-year growth rate of 72.2%.  The company noted in a statement that it first earned a place on the Inc. 5000 list in 2013, when it ranked 547th, and that the designation in 2021 was the ninth consecutive year the company placed on the list of the fastest-growing U.S. firms.

Part of the company’s growth has come through acquisitions.  The company acquired MCG Logistics, a global freight and parcel management and consulting company, in August. According to a company statement, its acquisition “deepens TransImpact’s expertise in important industries like consumer products, home products, and healthcare, and expands capabilities in ocean, air, and international logistics.”

The company also acquired supply chain business intelligence platform Vizion360 in January with the goal to “develop an end-to-end supply chain platform for clients navigating an ever-changing shipping environment,” according to a statement.

TransImpact maintains offices in North Carolina, Ohio, and California, and employs more than 170 people.
