Seven Hills-based SCA Sweeping Corp. of America on Monday, Jan. 27, announced it has acquired Contract Sweepers & Equipment Co. of Columbus in a deal that adds 105 employees and 110 trucks in the Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton markets, as well as in Huntington, W.V.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SCA Sweeping, a self-performing power street sweeping company, says it serves municipalities, departments of transportation, road and paving contractors, retail and commercial parking lots, and industrial complexes. It has 40 locations in 15 states, the company said in a news release. A spokesman wasn't immediately available for comment. Christopher Valerian, president and CEO of SCA Sweeping, said in a statement that the deal "significantly enhances SCA's service in the state of Ohio and is consistent with our strategy of buying best-in-class businesses."

SCA Sweeping said in the release that Gerry Kesselring, former president of Contract Sweepers, will join SCA and will oversee the combined Ohio sweeping operations.
