The Peace Corps
The Peace Corps is an independent agency and volunteer program run by the United States Government providing international social and economic development assistance. The program was established by Executive Order 10924 issued by President John F. Kennedy in March 1961 and authorized by Congress on September 21, 1962 with passage of the Peace Corps Act.
Volunteers are American citizens, typically with a college degree,[2] who work abroad for a period of two years after three months of training. Volunteers work with governments, schools, non-profit organizations, non-government organizations, and entrepreneurs in education, youth development, community health, business, information technology, agriculture, and the environment. After 24 months of service, volunteers can request an extension of service.
Less than one month had passed after Congress authorized the Peace Corps act, JFK was confronted with another major challenge-
The Cuban Missile Crises
The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 1 month, 4 days (16 October – 20 November 1962) confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union which escalated into an international crisis when American deployments of missiles in Italy and Turkey were matched by Soviet deployments of similar ballistic missiles in Cuba. The confrontation is often considered the closest the Cold War came to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war
Kennedy ordered a naval blockade on October 22 to prevent further missiles from reaching Cuba. The US announced it would not permit offensive weapons to be delivered to Cuba and demanded that the weapons already in Cuba be dismantled and returned to the Soviet Union.
When all offensive missiles and the Ilyushin Il-28 light bombers had been withdrawn from Cuba, the blockade was formally ended on November 20, 1962.
In just over one year, on November 22, 1963, JFK was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.

On March 15, 2020, the agency announced it would temporarily suspend Volunteer operations and begin evacuating Volunteers from all posts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Peace Corps is eager for Volunteers to return to service as soon as the health and safety of Volunteers, staff, and host communities can be assured.
Returned Peace Corps Volunteers are working as journalists, writers, members of Congress, and even astronauts.
Attention Lawmakers Critical Of Israel Not Vaccinating Palestinians
As I mentioned in a previous Blog, Israel has an obligation to vaccinate all its citizens first. Therefore, to those lawmakers who criticize Israel, here is a golden opportunity to help the Palestinians. If President Biden wants to allocate funds in their direction, then request that some of those funds be donated to the Peace Corps.
That would provide adequate funds for all of you to join the Peace Corp and come help vaccinate all those Palestinians in need. You should come prepared with adequate vaccine supplies and necessary protective gear.
As a reminder, don’t bother asking Reps. Tlaib and Omar because they have been banned from our country. Although Rep. Tlaib might still be allowed in like last time when she was given special permission to visit her grandmother.

Advice To POTUS Biden
You have signed more than 40 executive orders since taking office. Instead of signing more useless executive orders, why don’t you consider signing an executive order that requires Palestinian leaders to immediately dismantle all rockets aimed at Israel before sending any funds their way.
In addition, you should include a clause which will halt all further payments to the Palestinians if one more terrorist attack is made against Israel such as the attack that was just announced this morning on the TOI news site-
A Palestinian man was shot dead while attempting to stab an Israeli soldier with a makeshift spear at the Gush Etzion Junction in the southern West Bank on Sunday morning, the Israel Defense Forces said.
JFK’s involvement in the Peace Corp and the Cuban Missile Crises proved JFK’s desire to make this a more peaceful world.
