Inteliquet names Senior VP

Dover-based Inteliquet announced that it has hired Peter B. Malamis as Senior Vice President, Life Sciences, effective immediately. He leads the group responsible for the sale and delivery of solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and other biopharma related groups using patient data. He also oversees the expansion of the company’s life sciences offerings.

Before Inteliquet, Malamis was co-founder and CEO of CRO Analytics, a provider of a cloud-based clinical trial performance system platform. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager at the MAPI Group, where he helped lead an acquisition that created the largest global CRO devoted to post-marketing research. He was also President of US Operations for the CRO Premier Research and held senior roles at SCIREX (US-focused CRO acquired by Premier), Galt Associates (drug safety and software services), MEDTAP International (health economics and outcomes), and PAREXEL International.

Municipal Electric executive named to board of industry group

Elected to the American Public Power Association Board of Directors during APPA’s Public Power Connect’s Virtual Summit & Business Meeting was Kimberly Schlichting, chief operating officer and senior vice president of power supply of Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation, Inc., Smyrna. DEMEC serves municipal electric utilities in Delaware.

APPA board members are chosen to represent 10 regions across the country.

ACLU names new executive director

The American Civil Liberties Union of Delaware announced that Mike Brickner ​ former Ohio State Director at All Voting is Local ​ (AVL), has joined the affiliate as the new Executive Director.

Brickner’s work at AVL, a new campaign to secure and expand the right to vote, focused on fighting discriminatory voter purges, ensuring jailed voters could cast a ballot, and exposing how unfair provisional ballot systems disenfranchised Black, low-income, and young voters in Ohio.

Before AVL, Brickner was the Senior Policy Director at the ACLU of Ohio for 14 years. During his tenure at ACLU-OH he worked on a variety of critical civil liberties movements.

Bayhealth Primary Care adds staff

Bayhealth Primary Care welcomed board-certified internal medicine doctor Kenneth Lewis, MD, and certified family nurse practitioner Markia Carolina.

Lewis has a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and did his residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. He also holds a juris doctor degree from Widener University School of Law. He is very active in community boards and non-profit organizations, including serving as a volunteer physician at Shepherd’s Clinic in Baltimore which provides free medical care for the working poor.

Carolina has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Temple University and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University, she went on to earn a post-master certificate at Wilmington University to become a family nurse practitioner.

The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation names board members

The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation has elected two community leaders, Tracy Burton Zigman and Joseph Lingo, to three-year terms on its board of directors. Burton received a Bachelor’s of Administration degree with a Concentration in Marketing from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington. She is currently the Head of Key Strategic Digital Partnerships for TD Bank RetailCard Services.

blankLingo has been a teacher in the Milford and Cape Henlopen School Districts for nearly 28 years and is currently a fourth-grade teacher at H. O. Brittingham Elementary School.

Lingo graduated from the University of Delaware and earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. He is also a Realtor with Patterson-Schwartz.

St. Georges Principal named Secondary Principal of the Year

St. Georges Technical High School Principal Shanta Reynolds has been selected as Delaware’s Secondary School Principal of the Year by the Delaware Association of School Principals. He will represent Delaware in this year’s National Principal of the Year awards program and will participate in the national Principal’s Institute held each year in Washington, DC.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, and his masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Delaware.
