With the recent promotion of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. COO and President Rob Perlman to regional chief operating officer of Alterra Mountain Co.’s central region, Ski Corp. announced Friday morning changes to its senior leadership team.
Perlman will remain in his current positions in Steamboat and take on new responsibilities with Ski Corp.’s parent company, Alterra, overseeing Winter Park Resort, as well as Deer Valley and Solitude resorts in Utah.
“The leadership team at Steamboat is a solid group that has guided the resort through good times and tough times,” Perlman said in a news release Friday. “My new role presents an opportunity for the leadership team to refocus their efforts to better align with our current resort needs and steer us into the future. I am thrilled to give our leaders new challenges to innovate the way Steamboat operates.”
Among the other changes at Ski Corp. is the promotion of several senior leaders.
Jennifer Shea has been promoted to the newly established role of vice president of business development, where she will oversee resort and hotel group sales, ticket office and rental and retail outlets. She has served as director of sales since 2016.
Vice President of Skier Services Jim Schneider, who started in that role in 2002, will transition to vice president of planning to focus on project approval, planning, management and development. Schneider’s new team will include resort facilities and onsite project management, as well as coordinating with development partners working on Steamboat’s Master Development Plan.
Dave Hunter, vice president of mountain relations, will expand his title to vice president of resort operations. His role will include current on-mountain operational departments as well as the addition of Mountain Coaster, SnowSports school and Happy Camp children’s programming.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing Katie Brown will become vice president of brand and resort strategy, guiding brand and strategy for all departments of Ski Corp. She will continue to lead the marketing, advertising, communications, air program, resort transformation and sustainability departments.
While her title isn’t changing, Trish Sullivan, who has served as the resort’s vice president of human resources for 30 years, will add the resort’s new child care center to her department.
