Brady Corp. Friday said it has acquired Code Corp., a maker of barcode readers and scanning software, for about $173 million, continuing a string of acquisitions.
The Milwaukee, Wis., identification-solutions supplier said it is funding the transaction with cash on hand and borrowing under its revolving credit line.
Brady, which posted fiscal 2020 sales of about $1.08 billion, said it expects Code to add nearly $50 million in sales in fiscal 2022.
Brady last month said it acquired Magicard Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of identification-card printers and technologies, for about $59 million. The company in April unveiled a deal to buy Finland's Nordic ID Oyj for around $10 million.
