The Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation has hired Nathan Iseminger to fill the role of UAS sector developer.
Iseminger will work to support primary sector business recruitment and expansion in the aerospace sector in the greater Grand Forks region. He primarily will be focused on unmanned and autonomous systems and associated technology development. Iseminger will lead EDC initiatives to foster collaboration among industry partners and provide resources and expertise to engage with stakeholders and capitalize on new opportunities for industry development.
“The UAS eco-system in North Dakota has provided the opportunity for incredible progress in unmanned and autonomous systems,” Iseminger said in an EDC release. “I am humbled and excited to join the industry pioneers in the Grand Forks UAS community and the incredible team at the EDC.”
Iseminger recently retired from Grand Forks Air Force Base. He spent 22 years serving on active-duty, working as an air traffic controller and manager across four states and six countries, including three combat deployments. Iseminger grew up in Maryland and holds degrees in aeronautics and business administration.
“We are very excited to welcome Nathan to the EDC,” said Keith Lund, president and CEO of the EDC. “He brings strong leadership and UAS experience from his service in the United States Air Force, which will allow him to immediately contribute to the EDC’s goals to expand UAS and associated technology business in the region.”
