The manufacturing conglomerate reported its 2020 second-quarter financial results and provided an update on production forecasts for its respirators that have become a crucial staple of the effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. 3M produced nearly 800 million respirators in the first half of 2020, with about half of them distributed in the U.S., primarily to healthcare professionals and FEMA.
