Initially purchased for $12 million, the hospital is undergoing a complete renovation worth $11.3 million done by Caliber Development and Construction. The 96-bed facility is in an Opportunity Zone near downtown Phoenix and will care for patients struggling with medical and psychiatric conditions. Behavioral Health, Phoenix is one of the first Medical Opportunity Zone investments in the country and is desperately needed in the community. The Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Phoenix will open in 2020 and is expected to bring 80 high-income jobs into the area. Caliber will be acquiring additional Behavioral Health Hospitals in Opportunity Zones throughout the Southwest.

The new campus features three modern, two-story buildings, a new gymnasium, cafeteria, upgrades to the athletic fields, a community garden area, and an amphitheater. The buildings house learning labs in lieu of traditional classroom spaces, learning stairs for teaching and gathering, numerous break out spaces, and two interior slides!

The high school houses three two-story classroom buildings, constructed on a concrete foundation supported by footings and masonry stem walls with a structural frame comprised CMU block and steel; an exterior finish insulation system covered with painted CMU block, Kalwall insulated light transmitting panels, metal panels and a polyvinyl chloride roof. The project also featured two parking lots, outdoor basketball courts, athletic fields with bleacher seating. The junior high addition, for 7-8 grade students, is a two-story classroom building with labs, a makerspace and teacher lounge spaces featuring an outdoor learning stair, shade canopies, concrete CIP benches.

Project description: The Northwest Fire Rescue District Station No. 337 project, built for Northwest Fire District, included the new construction of a light duty fire station to serve Marana, AZ. The facility contains apparatus bays, support areas, living spaces, offices, a kitchen, and dorm rooms. The fire station was constructed of a slab on grade foundation, a masonry structure with metal frame, and a TPO and metal canopy roof. An exterior of masonry block, stucco and metal panel completed the construction. The Northwest Fire Rescue District Station No. 337 provides a modern environment for the first responders serving the Dove Mountain area.
